DEPENDENT INFLATION FACTOR 3.00%       INDEPENDENT INFLATION FACTOR 6.50%
BASE MAINTENANCE $10,807
MAX AWARD $2,900       MIN AWARD $1,000

WHEG TRIBAL
($6,560 - EFC) x 27.44% = Award
Maximum Award: $1,800       Minimum Award: $250
This reflects no change from the current year's formula

WHEG - WTCS
($8,000 - EFC) x 12.5% = Award
Maximum Award: $1,000       Minimum Award: $350 (Change from current year's $325)

WHEG - UW
($5,588 - EFC) x 50% = Award
 Maximum Award: $2,730       Minimum Award: $674

Part 2: If additional dollars beyond the statutory defined increases become available to hold students harmless to tuition increases, the dollars will be distributed across the calculated awards to ensure students' awards increase similar to the amount tuition increases. If there are additional dollars, but the appropriation is less than the Governor's recommendation, the UWS may request that HEAB consider approval of a revised recommendation for the additional dollars.

HEAB Training Date: March 15

HEAB conducts one-day training programs for new and continuing financial aid administrators. The training session covers all aspects of the programs administered by HEAB, including:

The program begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends no later than 3:00 p.m. It is held at the HEAB offices at 131 W. Wilson St, Suite 902, Madison, WI. We have room for up to 6 people at each session. Please let us know if you are coming to training as materials are printed based on the number of people attending.
