Points of Interest:

1. Our first notification list for 2003-04 was sent out on Thursday, April 24th. If you have not received it, please let us know.

2. The last 2002-03 notification list is scheduled on Monday, June 9, 2003. The last day to submit voucher requests for 2002-03 will be Friday, June 13, 2003.

3. Beginning with the notification list of May 13, 2003 all error lists will be sent electronically instead of regular mail.

4. Since 2002-03 and 2003-04 academic year requests are currently being processed, it is very important to clearly label submissions to HEAB by academic year.

2002-03

1. 2002-03 notification lists and other associated reports are scheduled to run May 6th, and May 20th.

2. 2002-03 award commit and spent for TIP, WHEG, and WTG are as follows:

   TIP Award Commit	=	136.28%	(last year at this time it was 133.91%)
   TIP Spent	=	93.82%	(last year at this time it was 93.76%)
   UW WHEG Award Commit	=	135.83%	(last year at this time it was 136.44%)
   UW WHEG Spent	=	100.00%	(last year at this time it was 99.89%)
   WTC WHEG Award Commit	=	169.88%	(last year at this time it was 171.27%)
   WTC WHEG Spent	=	100.00%	(last year at this time it was 99.89%)
   WTG Award Commit	=	116.07%	(last year at this time it was 122.01%)
   WTG Spent	=	99.36%	(last year at this time it was 97.38%)

   NOTE: The "W" code is currently being applied to any new UW and WTC-WHEG applicants.

   Please note that the W-codes which are currently being applied to UW and Tech WHEG awards do NOT affect other grants. The TIP Grant, Indian Grant, Minority Grant, and Handicapped Grant may all be vouchered for students with W-coded WHEG awards.

3. 2002-03 vouchering occurs both Tuesday and Friday nights. Requests will be processed if they are received by 12NOON on either Tuesday or Friday.

4. TIP nomination forms are to be sent to John Whitt.

5. File maintenance is being accepted for the following items only:
   Professional Judgement changes
   Special Tuition
   Selective Service changes
   Special Circumstances
   Deletes
   If you have a situation that you believe is a special circumstance, please contact the program coordinator. All other changes must by made by submitting information to the federal processor.

6. Due to very tight WHEG program spending, please return refunds as soon as possible. All WHEG requests are being held pending the receipt of refunds. The requests are being released in the order in which they were received. Schools that have requests in the holding files will be receiving a listing of them. Please refer to that list before re-requesting funds.

7. Please note that the last day to voucher is June 13, 2003. A notification list will be run on June 9th.

2. 2003-04 award commit and spent for TIP, WHEG, and WTG are as follows:

   TIP Award Commit	=	48.07%	(last year at this time it was 37.75%)
   UW WHEG Award Commit	=	73.74%	(last year at this time it was 55.03%)
   Note: The 2002-03 WHEG-UW appropriation was used to calculate the commit figure.
   WTC WHEG Award Commit	=	62.05%	(last year at this time it was 47.23%)
   WTG Award Commit	=	83.15%	(last year at this time it was 71.46%)

3. 2003-04 Voucher (V) process is scheduled to begin August 5, 2003.
