Status of 1999-2000 and 2000-01 Applicants and Programs

2000-2001

Wisconsin Higher Education Grant - WTC
WHEG - WTC has committed 61.43% ($8,781,560) of its appropriation with 10,575 awards. This is 876 more awards and 9.15% less committed than at this time last year. In 1999-00 the program had committed 70.58% of its appropriation at this time last year. The final commitment for 1999-00 was 157.34%.

Wisconsin Higher Education Grant - UW
WHEG - UW has committed 72.65% ($15,218,288) of its appropriation with 13,660 awards. This is 753 more awards and .95% more committed than at this time last year. In 1999-00 the program had committed 71.70% of its appropriation at this time last year. The final commitment for 1999-00 was 138.84%.

Wisconsin Tuition Grant
WTG has committed 104.62% ($24,416,746) of its appropriation with 11,130 awards. This is 2,620 more awards and 12.26% more committed than at this time last year. In 1999-00 the program had committed 92.360% of its appropriation at this time last year. The final commitment for 1999-00 was 109.68%.

Status of Applicants
Applicants for 1998-99 totaled 163,305. 1999-00 applicants totaled 175,430. The number of applicants through July 21, 2000 for 2000-01 is 118,336.
